It is still very impressive the huge drawbridge that allows entry inside the walls where you can admire the play of geometries of the vast courtyard. The fortress consists of a square central tower, two round towers at the corners, a series of ramparts and workstations for different caliber guns. Beautiful landscape is visible from the austere square building, which is the highest point of the castle from which you can see the Terminillo, the Maiella and Gran Sasso.
