Civita di Bagnoregio
Recommended: Absolutely
Difficulty: Medium

defined by multiple sources, "the dying city", situated in a secluded, can only be reached through a pedestrian bridge in reinforced concrete. The cause of his isolation is the gradual erosion of the hill and the surrounding valley, which has given rise to the typical forms of gullies and that continues today, threatening to wipe out the village, so also called "the dying town."

The village is currently inhabited by a few families, is a destination for many tourists every year and has been used several times as a film set. Inside the village are several medieval houses, the church of San Donato (overlooking the main square), the Bishop's Palace, a mill of the XVI century, the birthplace of St. Bonaventure and the port of Santa Maria, with two lions holding between the legs of a human head (in memory of a popular uprising of the inhabitants of Orvieto Civita against the family of Monaldeschi). The old town is writing to the association of the most beautiful towns in Italy. (Source Wikipedia)

Moderate because you must park your car across the bridge, walking (or riding on a donkey) and easy walk to the village and eventually the tunnel dug under the cliff.

Bomarzo - Park of the Monsters
Recommended: Yes
Difficulty: Easy

The so-called Monster Park or Sacred Wood Bomarzo in the province of Viterbo, is a monument located at the foot of a real natural amphitheater. Here
Vicino Orsini had built in the sixteenth century, some monuments that depict animals and mythological monsters. He called the Sacred Forest Park and dedicated it to his wife, Giulia Farnese. There are also impossible architecture, like the house tilted, or perhaps some enigmatic statues representing the stages of a journey of alchemical array. (Source Wikipedia)

Surrounded by lush vegetation, including the songs of birds and lush crackle of small streams, I highly recommend both "great" than "small". :)

Village of Chia

Difficulty: n /

Chia is a village of Soriano nel Cimino, a village of about 400 people located approximately 300 meters above sea level that rises in panoramic position overlooking the Tiber valley. The old nucleus dating from about 1100 AD, although currently in an advanced state of disrepair, still retains its original plan and has considerable historical interest. The woods are dotted with ancient rock tombs, and they were inhabited since pre-Etruscan (houses underground, cave-tombs, wells, etc..) (source Wikipedia)

Of Etruscan origin, perhaps, the old Surrina vetus, the first group of Soriano nel Cimino passed by the Benedictine monks to Guastapane to Pandolfi and then accused them of heresy, the nephew of Pope Nicholas Orso Orsini III who built the castle of the entire construction (1277-1279). From the thirteenth to the fifteenth century took turns driving Soriano Castellani hours now lord of the papal appointment until 1435 the year in which the square of the cathedral was beheaded Giacomo Vico member of the powerful family of the Prefects of Vico and domain Soriano came back to the Church. The imposing castle that dominates the town was built by Pope Nicholas III in 1278, in the second half of the fifteenth century it was restored and reinforced. The importance of this fortress in the defense of the state is demonstrated by the papal coat of arms of Popes Calixtus III and Pope Innocent VIII. There is also the emblem of Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia, indicating the role for about 50 years, first as vice chancellor under five popes, and later as pope under the name of Alexander VI.
